Refunds/Transfer Policy

Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable but participants may roll their entry fee to the following year if they send the request at least 10 days prior to the event date for $10 transfer fee. All rollover requests must be submitted using this form.

You must request your code when registration opens for the following year; we do not automatically send it to you.

Q: I can’t participate. What is your cancellation policy?
A: Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable but participants may defer their entry fee one calendar year if requested at least ten days prior to the race date. If the event is cancelled or moved, you will not be given a refund but you may choose another comparable Renegade Racing event to attend instead.

Q: May I register on race weekend at packet pickup or race day?
A:
Absolutely, as long as a race is not sold out. Please note race weekend registrations are not guaranteed t- shirts or goody bags. Check back at the t-shirt/goody bag distribution desk after the race for availability.

Q: Do I need my ID?
A:
You may be required to show your ID to receive your race information. Children exempt; a parent’s ID may be required.

Q: Can my friend/family member pick up my packet?
A:
For most races we will allow a friend or family member to pick up their packet with a copy of the participants ID and signed waiver (see participant info/e-mails for waivers). Parents may pick up race items for their under 18 children. All race day bib and timing chip pickups must be done by the participant.

Q: Do races have time limits?
A:
Yes, most races have restrictions on how long we can close roads for participants to complete the race. Generally a 5K should be completed in two hours, a 10K in about three hours, and a half marathon in four hours. Q: Do I have to wear my bib? Where should I put it?
A:
Bib numbers are required to participate and those who attempt to participate without bib numbers will be removed from the course. You should wear your race bib on the front of your shirt.

Q: May I bring my stroller/bike/inline skates/skateboard/dog?
A:
No bikes, inline skates, skateboards or dogs are allowed on the course (select venues allow dogs, please see individual event site fore more information). Baby joggers are allowed on some event courses (please check specific events) but must start in the back of the field to prevent accidents or collisions with other participants.

Q: May I wear my headphones?
A:
For safety reasons, we recommend that headphones are not worn.  If you are going to wear headphones, we suggest keeping one ear open at all times or keeping the volume levels low so that you can hear instructions or safety information.

  • Participants must be in good health and fit enough to participate in the event.

Age Group Division Awards

  • Men and Women: 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+
  • Youth:  6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-19
  • Kids Runs are non-competitive and overall and age division awards will not be given.

Participants must show photo ID at packet pickup to receive their bib, timing chip and other items associated with the event. USAT rules require participants to show their membership card (Visit USAT to print your card).

Parents of children without photo ID may pick up race items on their child’s behalf.

Q: Can my friend/family member pick up my packet?
A:
No. USAT requires all participants to pick up their own packet. All members of a relay team must check in at the same time. See below for more info.

Triathlon & Duathlon Packet Pick Up Rules:

  1. All athletes are required to show a photo ID. NO ID, NO RACE, NO EXCEPTIONS. Every single participant, including relay participants, must have a photo ID. Youth athletes without an ID must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a photo ID. Annual members are required to bring their membership card every time they compete in a USAT sanctioned event. If their card has been lost, they can download and print out a temporary one online from USAT (click here).
  2. Athletes may only pick up their own packets. Under no circumstances may anathlete pick up a packet for another person. All relay members must be present to receive the packet, or split up the relay packet for each participant.
  3. If an athlete does not bring a photo ID to packet pickup there are two options:
    • Go home to get it
    • Have someone email/fax them a copy of their photo ID
  4. If an athlete does not bring a USAT membership card to packet pickup there are three options:
    • Go home to get it
    • Find internet access where a temporary card can be printed
    • Purchase a one-day membership which can later be applied to a membership renewal by submitting a receipt of purchase

Q: What is the USAT License Fee and do I need it?
A:
USAT one-day license allows an athlete to compete in a USA Triathlon sanctioned race without purchasing an annual membership.  One-day licenses are purchased for a specific race, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable.  All individuals and relay participants in the triathlon & duathlon must have a USAT-Annual license or pay $15 for a 1-day license. Q: Do I have to wear my bib number and use my helmet/bike sticker?
A:
Bib numbers are required to participate and those who attempt to participate without bib numbers will be removed from the course. Wear your bib on the front of your run shirt. Wear helmet stickers on the front. Attach bike stickers to the front or crossbar or down tube.

Q: May I wear my headphones?
A:
Headphones are not permitted per USAT rules.

Q: May I bring my dog?

Please leave your pets at home. Dogs/pets are NOT allowed on race course.

Triathlon and Duathlon Age Group/Division Awards

  • Kids Runs and Kids Duathlons are non-competitive and will be timed but overall and age division awards will not be given.
  • Relays: 1st, 2nd, 3rd in following categories: All Male, All Female, Mixed Gender
