The LA Life Run is for everyone who loves to live in Los Angeles. Each year the event has a different theme and finisher medal inspired by an LA icon: music, sports teams, facilities, and iconic buildings (LA City Hall, LA Library, Disney Concert Hall, Coliseum, STAPLES Center, Griffith Observatory, Watts Towers) will all get their day at the event. With live music electrifying the course and a Taste of LA style finish line festival, everyone will love the celebration on the steps of L.A. LIVE and the STAPLES Center in the heart of the City of Angels.
The “LIFE” in LA Life Run isn’t just about living in this beautiful and diverse city – it represents life for kids with cancer. The LA Life Run raises money for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, an LA-based organization, that funds lifesaving research in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of childhood cancers and blood-related disorders.

Children’s Cancer Research Fund Matti Contopulos, whose professional background is cancer, devised and implemented art/activity programs specifically for oncology patients and had been in the field for over a decade, when she realized changes needed to be made. Having seen the courage, strength and need of the children, Matti found a new way to bring fresh hopes and more than a few smiles to the children with cancer and their families. Founded in 1987 by Contopulos, Children's Cancer Research Fund (CCRF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to two important goals: to provide support on a national level for clinical research in pediatric cancer and improve the medical environment for all children.
