When you run or walk in the Coaster Run you’re supporting Speech and Language Development Center (SLDC) in our work to provide education and opportunities for kids with special needs.  The majority of our students have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  Your support provides real help to real kids on a daily basis, providing therapy and assistive technology that students need to help them to communicate.

Founded in 1955, Speech and Language Development Center is a nonprofit school and therapy center located in Buena Park serving Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Drawing on over 60 years of experience, skill and success, SLDC provides remediation for language/learning, emotional/social and neurologically-based needs to students with a broad scope of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Center is certified by the California State Department of Education and licensed by the California State Department of Social Services. For more information, see www.sldc.net.

You can support this important work by starting a team to help raise money or by getting your friends, family and coworkers to pledge for your participation.
